OFWD TOS, AUP, Privacy Policy, and Expectations
This document defines the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy and other expectations for the OFWD service.
General Expectations
- Beta Quality: This service is still in development. It is Beta quality. There changes will be made to the service.
Terms of Service
- Acceptance: Users must agree to the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and understand the General Expectations to use the service. By using the service in any way, you agree to the terms of service. If someone can not legally agree to these policies, they may not user the service.
- Quality: Because this is an Beta quality service, the operators of the service provide no guarantees, no promises, no warranties, and have no responsibilities or liabilities for the servie or any situation caused by the service.
- User Data: Users retain full responsibility and ownership of all of their content hosted on the service. The operators of the service are granted the right to use user content for the purpose of providing the service and it’s various features. The operators of the service take no responsibility for user data.
- Change: The operators of the service reserve to make any and all changes they see fit to the service, these policies, and anything else. Changes to these policies will be announced publicly. Changes may have retroactive effect.
- Unfairness: The operators of the service have the right to be completely arbitrary in their decisions. In any dispute, the operators of the service win and get their way.
- Service Termination: A) The service will run through October 12th, 2008, at which point it will terminate. B) The service may be terminated by either the operators of the service or the user at any time. In the case of the user termination, the operators of the service will turn off the account in a timely fasion. C) The operators of the service reserve the right to turn off the entire service, or individual user’s access at any time, for any reason, including violatios of the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Law enforcement: The operators of the service have the right to do anything legally required of them related to the service, superseding the privacy policies below.
Acceptable Use Policy
- The service is provided for the sole purpose of syncing a user’s OmniFocus data, and should be used for no other purpose.
- Use of the service for other purposes including, but not limited to, hosting other types of data, is prohibited.
- Users are not allowed to do anything illegal with the service.
Privacy Policy
- User content: The operators of the service will only access a user’s content to provide the service to the user and for standard service administration tasks such as backups or fixing problems related to the service.
- User information: The operators of the service will not share user information, such as email addresses, with anyone, and will use this information only to provide the service and information about the service.
